In My Daughters' Eyes

In my daughter's eyes, I see a quiet strength that can only come from the Lord. A desire to please God and to do her best. A longing to reach out to others and build them up. The ability to form a deep bond and love deeply.

In my daughter's eyes, I see wonder. I see a free spirit and enthusiasm for life that comes from knowing she is loved by God. A willingness to devote herself wholeheartedly to whatever she is called to do , while resting and trusting in God's everlasting arms.

In my daughter's eyes, I see joy unfettered. Taking a leap into Trusted Arms, she squeals as she knows she will be lifted up. I see anticipation of what fun and laughter tomorrow will bring. I see her joy, and I can't help but absorb it as I look into her eyes.

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Ps 16:11

How blessed I am on this Mother's Day that my children will grow to know the God of the Universe, and He will be faithful to all generations. I chose to focus on my beautiful daughters this Mother's Day because they are the greatest gift He has given me, aside from my salvation.

I also want to give God glory for my own mother, who has been so strong in the Lord since she came to Him about 13 years ago. He has saved her from a life-threatening disease, and brought my two brothers into His Kingdom answering her fervent prayers. My mother's prayers have helped me far beyond anything I could imagine, and I thank God for her!

Thanks a lot for the cry! Hee hee..It really is amazing what children can do in strengthening your relationship both with Him and with your mom. It always amazes me that he loved me so much to give me these amazing gifts! It is amazing to me to that my mom survived 6 kids and still had joy and peace in her heart..My hero!!

This post is really beautiful and a great keepsake for your girls to read one day. You made me cry too. I can't believe the awesome reposibility we have as mummys some days. Children are always learning so much from us and its awesome that God would love us so much that he would choose us to do the huge job of raising them. I was just visiting from MOG and I will be sure to visit again soon.
