In a world where courtesy seems to be a lost art, I am honored to be awarded the "Nice Matters Award" by Angela at The Life and Times of Gran. It really does mean a lot that she thinks of associating me with the word nice. (Does she really know me? ;-)
As a "young(er)" mom, it is so great to interact with women of all generations, too. I was reading a post by Morning Glory about the disconnect she feels with the younger generation as she gets more "senior". I want to make an effort to respect these wiser women, as I know they have much to teach. Thank you Gran!
There are a few bloggers that immediately come tomind when I think of the word nice. They are:
- Lynnae at From Under the Clutter is always quick to leave me a comment of encouragement and has such a positive, uplifting tone to her blog.
- Although she probably has a million awards, Mamablogga is such an encourager of women to reach their potential. With hundreds of readers every day, she still takes the time to email commentors and answer questions.
- Darcy, aka. Minnesota Mama has the sweetest family I have ever seen. She's the kind of person I would want to be my next-door neighbor.
- I have already given MorningSong an award, but I just can't help myself! She is SO nice!! She's another woman with whom I would like to go walking around the block in the evenings, or bring my kids to the park!
- Jan at Musings From Mexico is an old friend, (well, not old, you know what I mean!) whom I lived with for a couple of months while I was in college. We have just reconnected in the blogosphere and I am thrilled! She deserves an award just for being a full time missionary. But recently, she has taken time on her blog to educate us in the states about several aspects of Mexico in her feature Mexico Monday. I have also enjoyed Testimony Tuesday, where she highlights encouraging testimonies from their ministry.
