The last part is the most fun for me! I love to go to a coffee house to hear wonderful music. I have several musician friends that regularly play coffee houses, and one of those is Laura Kaufman. I will be giving away her second album, Photographs. Laura's background is in an Acoustic Folk style, yet this album has a relaxed contemporary feel; and she has such a unique, beautiful voice. One of the most memorable coffee moments we had, and that my hubby and I still talk about, was on an ordinary weekend. We just dropped by casually for lattes before starting our regular once a week grocery shopping and ended up spending half a day just sitting there drowning cups of java, talking, reminiscing how we met, how we'd made it all this while as a couple, etc etc. We just ... connected ... all over again. It was simply magical! My hubby's not much of a talker, so this was something really special.

What a wonderful fall giveaway! I LOVE organic coffee (whole bean, caf). Once a month, my mom's group goes out for dinner and we always end the evening at a coffee shop - usually closing them. :) I'm a big coffee fan in general. :)

The best time I've had in a coffee shop, I was on a double date with my Dearest, a good friend, and her fiance. We played Dutch Blitz, drank coffee, and just had a great time catching up on our lives. Boring perhaps, but we had a fun time! :-)

Best time is every Thursday morning for the past 3 years, right after we drop off our kids at school, several other parents and I, and any younger siblings who happen to be around, gather at a local Starbucks. My favorite coffeehouse memory is from my college days - I'd go with my girlfriend Gillie (isn't that an awesome name?) and we'd sit and drink POTS of coffee and (much as I hate to admit it now, in my responsible Mommy years) smoke. (I know, cliche - and bad for us!!!) But anyway, I remember those days being so much fun - our conversations were so *serious* and importnat, and our plans and dreams were so *big* and important. Mostly though, I look back and wonder how I slept when I was drinking coffee until midnight! :)

My most memorable moment in a coffee shop was the day of September 11th. I was still in High School and my best friend and I were in total shock. We skipped school and headed to the local coffee shop (Cafe Bean!) in our small town. We ordered sandwiches and coffee, then sat and discussed our thoughts and feelings on the situation. Other customers and even employees overheard and gathered around to join in the conversation. Although the atmosphere was somber, it was a really touching experience to be able to relate with so many people, most of which were total strangers who were just as frightened, hurt and confused as I was.

My best experience in a coffee shop...hhmm. I had a friend once who worked in a coffee shop, and his boss would let him open the shop after hours for us. One night about 10 of us went Christmas caroling, then back to the shop and ended up staying until 2 AM or so!! It was great fun...good coffee, fun conversation, and sweet friends. :o)

My most memorable would be the very first time I went into a coffee house (Starbuck's) and I ordered a medium regular coffee with half and half. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy and that's when my husband so pleasantly explained to me the appropriate names for the sizes which totally baffled me and the fact that I had to say "with room" when I wanted to add cream or whathaveyou. It was the most memorable because I felt like such a twit and after that day I always remembered to order properly as to not get looked at in shame :)

A friend of mine and I meet at a coffee shop once every couple months. We just sit and chat...the best part is NO KIDS!! LOL

I prefer whole bean, caffeinated coffee please. I love the smell of fresh ground coffee in the morning.
My favorite coffee shop is in Alaska, Jitters. I love to go there and meet up with friends. But we have moved away now. Someday we hope to be able to return to Alaska.
