I've been praying about the direction of this blog for a while. I began this blog with the underlying goals being to:1. Point people to My Savior, Jesus
I would also add that I really want to "be real". We moms and Christians put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect, and do what we think is acceptable, I want to free myself and others to be honest about our triumphs and struggles. (thus, Real Life Cleaning Tips and things like it)
2. Slow down my thoughts with writing so I can actually process the tornado of ideas in my head!
3. Find people who actually want to hear the tornado of ideas.
4. Be funny(if you don't think I'm funny, please don't tell me!), laugh, make friends, and have fun!!
Lately, I've been wondering if I've devoted enough blog space to spiritual things, and to directly talking about Jesus. I constantly want to ask God if I am glorifying Him through this blog. What kept coming to my thoughts as I prayed was the statement, "The mundane is spiritual." We don't have to fill our lives with pie-in-the-sky pontificating to be spiritual or godly. The scripture that came to mind is Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Trying to become excellent in whatever we do will glorify God, if we dedicate it to Him, and give Him thanks for it. So I am going to take a little pressure off of myself to come up with deep and life-changing revelation. It's OK to post about being a regular mom, cooking, cleaning, saving money, etc. because in doing these things, as we have been called as wives and mothers, we are glorifying God!
That being said, I have a few scheduled things I'll be doing, and the rest will be filled in with whatever mundane thoughts or deep and life-changing revelations that come to mind.

Commenter Jendi from Musings and Mommy Stuff has some wonderful Thanksgiving facts and reference websites. It's so important to remember the true origins of today's celebrations. Jendi also brought to my attention AnySoldier.com, for this post, where you can contact soldiers for support.
Too Cool For School was one of my first regular commenters at One Mom's View. I love the thoughtful substance she adds there. Although our views are not identical, she always makes me think (and laugh). Her blog is a very diverse mix of motherhood and life, you just have to check it out! My favorite feature is the "Paci Hall Of Shame"
The top referrer was Rocks In My Dryer, once again, from Works-For-Me Wednesday. If you haven't participated in this yet, you're missing out! Shannon works really hard to help other bloggers connect with each other, and that's one of the reasons she is so popular.
Oh, I almost forgot. Wendy from One Day at a Time has started a new blog, and you are going to love it! Wendy's Web of Coupons and Freebies has all kinds of deal on the net! I got a great Polly Pocket Coupon from her, and there is so much more! Just in time for Christmas Shopping Season.
Don't forget to come back next Tuesday, November 20 for My Least Favorite Things

I try to have a deeper purpose in my blog, but have a hard time writing down thoughts! I love your blog and it is fun to see all the different things you come up with!
