Aloha Friday: The Beach or the Mountains?

Aloha!

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response."

Where would you rather go on vacation: The Beach or the Mountains?

Can I say both? ;)

I guess at this point, I'd say beach, but by the end of the summer when I'm tired of the heat and sun, a mountain vacation will be sounding awesome. :)

That is a tough one. I like them both. My husband likes the mountains better.

I love the ocean however I love the mountains and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and the smell of pine trees. (my favorite tree)
I choose a holiday by a lake in the mountains!!

Though I like both, I definitely prefer a lake in the mountains. Can I go right now? :)

Mountains, mountains, mountains! I grew up taking long vacations in the mountains of southwestern Colorado, near where my Dad was raised. I actually long for these mountains when I've been gone too long!

I would love love love to go to the beach any time of year.

This would have been harder a few months ago. But since we just moved a few miles from the mnts., I would have to say the beach. I miss my Oregon coast!!!

The beach any other time of year except for October. That's when the colors peak and it is breathtaking.

One of the things I love about where I live is that I get BOTH beach and mountains.

If I had to choose just one for a vacation though, it would be the beach. Long stretches of sandy beach for walking--warm water for wading, and a not too cool ocean breeze blowing through my hair.

I ~LOVE~ the mountains, but in the summer I have to say the beach because I hate bugs. But any other time of year it's definitely the mountains :) ... there's always so much to do and we have many nearby (I'm in GA).

I love both, but I've been craving the solitude of the mountains lately. :)

MOUNTAINS...a thousand times over!!! Just returned from 5 days in the Great Smokies. Loved it and will one day have a house there...that's my dream.

I love the concept of the beach, but getting a sun burn easily makes me shy away from there. I love fall drives into the mountains to watch the foliage turn.

Glad that I found you on Aloha Friday - have a great weekend :)

Seriously, I just sat and pondered that for waaaay too long!

Now, I'm gonna say mountains, in a cabin with a fire...

Beach: Love it...but the swimsuits, not so much.

Can't remember how I found your blog, but think its fab!

We'll take our luau on the mountains in the middle of the island, or down on the beach where the Pacific rolls in. Either way--because we're going to Hawaii on July 23. Aloha!

I guess since we have such easy access to the beach, I would rather go on a mountain vacation. It would sure be a lot cooler!
