I am so excited that Jo-Lynne from Musings of a Housewife is doing her Blog Recap Carnival again this year! It really is one of my favorite times to look back at some of my work/fun from the last year! So here’s what we do: write the first line of the first post of each month of 2009!
This is actually this same meme from last year! It’s fun looking at all the “first lines” from 2008!
This is a guest post from a dear friend of mine, Tiffany Christian, an African American Conservative Mom. She wrote a touching account of the 2009 Inauguration of Barack Obama that brought me to tears.
Oh, My Gosh! This video is the cutest! My little Pea as “Dancing Queen”
April: My five-year-old daughter summed it up today in an exasperated statement, while crying in my arms.
Wow, great spiritual lessons truly come “from the mouths of babes.”
My first foray back into the world of dance class! I am so excited to get back into it, I consider it one of my major accomplishments for 2009, culminating in a performance of the Nutcracker.
Wait a minute, did I actually read this one? Because it was about Beating summer boredom without breking the bank. We must have forgotten about this post by the end of the summer!
July: OK, folks. I need a little kick in the behind!
Ah, the ups and downs of my fitness journey for the year! I came out ahead in the end, but there were lots of moments like this… and a long way to go! HELP! I’m chronicling my fitness at home journey over at WiiMommies.com!
August: I’m really no good at those long, witty and interesting recaps of Blog Conferences.
But I AM good at bringing out little nuggets from experiences. SO here were my “Nuggets of Blogging Success from BlogHer 09 in Chicago
September: I know, I know! Me? giving organization tips! You’ve seen my house!
Yes, true! But I actually did find something that works for me in the kids’ art/craft supplies. and believe it or not, the art/creaft cabinets are still looking like this!
October: When Fall comes around, I always start to crave old- fashioned “comfort food.”
Ah, but this one was a healthy Fall recipe: Chili from Scratch! YUM!
November: Have you ever had the kind of friend that you could go to with anything?
This begins a series in a reflective part of this year, when I was really questioning trust and being real with people. It was a hard spot in one of my friendships, and it’s yet to be decided whether I came out better in the end.
Wow, now, that’s a long sentence! But I loved this post about making a Statement instead of a protest! And I’m kinda glad that this is the last “First Post,” Because I’d like to make it more of a lifestyle this year!
So what about you? Let’s see the first sentence from the first post of each month for your blog! And go over to Musings of a Housewife to link up!

I love hearing all the different lines! I looked at mine, but they all sounded the same – LOL! So I did my recap a little differently. It’s nice to look back though.
