Aloha Friday: The Beach or the Mountains?

“In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.”

Where would you rather go on vacation: The Beach or the Mountains?

  1. The Woman says:

wow lol Um summer I would want beach but if its winter or fall I would say mountains

  2. Deb - Mom of 3 Girls says:

    Can I say both? 😉

I guess at this point, I’d say beach, but by the end of the summer when I’m tired of the heat and sun, a mountain vacation will be sounding awesome. 🙂

  3. Kimberly Kaye says:

That is a tough one. I like them both. My husband likes the mountains better.

  4. I love the ocean however I love the mountains and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and the smell of pine trees. (my favorite tree)
I choose a holiday by a lake in the mountains!!

  5. oh, this is a tough one. i used to live in southern california where i practically grew up on the beach. i moved here to the denver area 18 years ago and absolutely love the mountains. but i miss the beach terribly.

if i had to answer, i guess i would say the mountains. no… the beach, no… the mountains… i think…….

  6. Lisa @ Stop and Smell the Chocolates says:

Though I like both, I definitely prefer a lake in the mountains. Can I go right now? 🙂

  7. Mountains, mountains, mountains! I grew up taking long vacations in the mountains of southwestern Colorado, near where my Dad was raised. I actually long for these mountains when I’ve been gone too long!

  8. Lessa...... says:

I would love love love to go to the beach any time of year.

  9. This would have been harder a few months ago. But since we just moved a few miles from the mnts., I would have to say the beach. I miss my Oregon coast!!!

  10. Jessica says:

The beach any other time of year except for October. That’s when the colors peak and it is breathtaking.

  11. One of the things I love about where I live is that I get BOTH beach and mountains.

If I had to choose just one for a vacation though, it would be the beach. Long stretches of sandy beach for walking–warm water for wading, and a not too cool ocean breeze blowing through my hair.

  12. Theresa says:

The BEACH!! Hands down! Heaven on earth :o)

  13. mountains

  14. Heather says:

I ~LOVE~ the mountains, but in the summer I have to say the beach because I hate bugs. But any other time of year it’s definitely the mountains 🙂 … there’s always so much to do and we have many nearby (I’m in GA).

  15. Definitely the beach for me, but mountains for dh!

  16. Audra Marie says:

I love both, but I’ve been craving the solitude of the mountains lately. 🙂

  17. elaine @ peace for the journey says:

MOUNTAINS…a thousand times over!!! Just returned from 5 days in the Great Smokies. Loved it and will one day have a house there…that’s my dream.

  18. TheAngelForever says:

I love the concept of the beach, but getting a sun burn easily makes me shy away from there. I love fall drives into the mountains to watch the foliage turn.

Glad that I found you on Aloha Friday – have a great weekend 🙂

  19. Sarah@Life in the Parsonage says:

Seriously, I just sat and pondered that for waaaay too long!

Now, I’m gonna say mountains, in a cabin with a fire…

Beach: Love it…but the swimsuits, not so much.

Can’t remember how I found your blog, but think its fab!

  20. We’ll take our luau on the mountains in the middle of the island, or down on the beach where the Pacific rolls in. Either way–because we’re going to Hawaii on July 23. Aloha!

  21. kailani says:

I guess since we have such easy access to the beach, I would rather go on a mountain vacation. It would sure be a lot cooler!
