An Exciting Date Without Leaving the House

NO!!! It’s not what you’re thinking! Please, people, I wouldn’t blog THAT!

Anyway, here’s what we’re doing tonight:

  • I’m taking a break from working! I won’t be within 10 feet of a computer at any moment!
  • We had a weak moment in willpower last weekend, while we were visiting our college friends: We bought Wii Rock Band! so Judd and I are having a jam session tonight!
  • Then, we’re going to watch the two-hour premier of Prison Break. I wonder what prison they’ll be breaking out of this time?

Sounds fun, huh? Well, after buying Wii Rock Band, we have no money to pay a babysitter, so it’ll have to do!

What do you do for a cheap date?

  1. Rock on!

If you could take video of that and post it, I am sure we’ll all get a good laugh.

  2. Can you believe that Sarah is still alive? I couldn’t believe it! What a great season premier!

I am laughing at the picture in my head of the 2 of you jamming! 🙂

    What fun!

We haven’t even had a cheap date in a while, but sometimes just like to get coffee and hang out in a bookstore. Long ago, before my son was born, we went to an arcade sometimes to play the pinball machines.

  4. being a big fan of Rock Band, I think it sounds extra fantastic!

  5. Ummm… date? What’s a date? Oh! Wait! I remember! It’s one of those little squares on the calendar circled in red where I have to chauffeur someone to the doctor or the dentist or to a dance class, right? 😉

  6. Cheap date? Aren’t those the girls my mom told my brother to avoid? No, kidding. I would love, love, love the chance to just sit and have dinner alone with my husband and talk about anything but the kids and then snuggle on the couch and watch a movie together. It’s not going to happen anytime soon, but I would love it.

Nigel & I are very fortunate (well we think we are) to be only 15 mins drive into the heart of London – so, like last evening, we quite often just take a drive and wander around our favourite parts and maybe get a coffee.
