Attack of the Killer Laundry Room!

When you see my laundry room, you will feel better about yours! Watch as I wrestle the monster into submission!

In this video, you will see many things that will hopefully “Work For Me” when it comes to keeping this room de-cluttered. A few of the things are:

  • When cleaning a room, take everything out first, then only put back necessary items
  • Use the same type of container for all items in a particular cabinet
  • Get rid of containers that aren’t working for you, and get new ones. (ie: the pet food containers in the video)
  • Plan at least a day for huge projects like this!

What works for you?

Glad to see I am not alone.

Didn’t you post about this laundry room the last time you organized it?!? :) My house is only about 600 square feet and our washing machine is outside, so we don’t really have a problem with clutter in the laundry room. My kitchen bar and the back of the couch are the gathering clutter places. I’ll video it for you.

Ok, I would kill to have a laundry room right off my kitchen (mine's in the basment) and all that extra cabinet space!!!

I have a slight OCD problem, so no I don't have a room like that. Even my laundry room is neat & organized. But I am crazy (and always stressed because of it).

Good luck keeping it clean – it looks great!

That’s awesome Jan! I love seeing your place! This summer, I really need to do more line drying. I am spoiled with that room aren’t I? It’s a blessing and a curse. And yes, I did post about it last time. It deteriorates fast, but I made some changes that I think should work… maybe

See…if this was me… I’d have to wear the same clothes for a week to make it look like I got it done in a day!! LOL!!

I’m so envious of the space!!! My “laundry room” is a closet off of the kitchen (thankfully)…someday, someday.

I always blame my clutter on lack of places to put things…but perhaps that isn’t the problem…perhaps if I had more space…I’d have more clutter…hmmm…the chicken or the egg?

    LOL

HAHA!!! This my laundry room’s life story. Between my kids, my husband, and dog. My laundry room is the land of the living clutter. I feel your pain, and thank you for posting this.

Wow, this was quite a task you had on your hands here. Isn’t it funny how we all tend to neglect these areas for so long and then find ourselves buried (lol) in a pile of stuff. Thanks for making the video, because I think many of us can relate to this scenario.
