Blogger Reflection Award

I was given the Blogger Reflection Award last week by a sweetheart blogger, MorningSong. I have been so blessed by reading her transparent and insightful posts. In fact, I gave her the Thinking Blogger Award on the same day, without knowing we were blessing each other! What she said about my blog blessed me beyond measure, and I think it is really important to encourage each other. She said, “It is clear her motive for starting her blog was for ministry and God is honoring that desire in her heart for sure!… Her focus is Christ but she is light-hearted too.” This brought tears to my eyes, because I always want my readers to see Jesus first. Even though I don’t always succeed, it helps to know you’re going in the right direction.
Here are the particulars:
What is the Blogger Reflection Award? This award was started by a 16 year old girl named Jocelyn.
The reason for the title is because this award should make you reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy… of knowing them and being blessed by them. This award is for the best-of-the-best so consider who you pick, carefully. This award should not be given to just anyone. Write real thoughts about these bloggers and what they’ve been to you, and if the bloggers you pick have already been given the award, don’t be afraid to give to them again. They deserve it as many times as it’s given.
Rules of participating:
1. Copy these rules.
2. Reflect on five bloggers and write a least a paragraph about each one.
3. Make sure you link this post so others can read it and the rules.
4. Leave a comment and let them know they’ve been given the award.
5. Display the award icon on your site.
I have been thinking for a week about whom I will give this award. (Yes, I just used the word “whom”! Does anyone even know that word anymore?) I have just begun blogging, and there are so many blogs that reflect a Godly example to me. I know you are supposed to give five, but there are two bloggers who stand out above the crowd. They are (drumroll, please)
Lei, at My Many Colored Days
Morning Glory is utterly and completely in love with her husband. When she shares how much she loves and adores him, it encourages me to think of what I love about my hubby, rather than any challenges we may be having. I honestly believe reading her blog has helped my marriage! Thank you Morning Glory!
Lei is a wonderful musician and the most organized mom I have ever seen! I so appreciate her humor and insight into deep matters, as well as practical matters. I have just recently begun to explore her blog, but have already been deeply blessed by her.
You will be richly blessed if you visit these ladies. Also, if you are one, join in on Woman to Woman!

I found your blog from a comment you made over at MamaBlogga. I just wanted to stop and tell you I love your site! Keep up the good work!

I think your site could benefit from more cars, large fires and power tools!
Keep up the good work, Sarah.
BTW, Kim and I were just talking about Judd last night. About how he likes to laugh at the end of his jokes. And if you don’t laugh, how he grabs you by the arm and pulls and shakes you and says “Come on. You know that’s funny!”

Thanks, Rodney. I’ll have a post next week on our new riding lawn mower, which I actually used the other day. (don’t faint!)
He doesn’t do that too much anymore, because he has me – I laugh at all his jokes. What can I say, I have a strange sense of humor!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such beautiful words and thoughts. I truly appreciate this from you, and I’m pleased that anything I have written has been a blessing to at least one person.
