I love decorating with grapevine wreaths that can be hung on the wall or door, or used in various ways as a centerpiece. Keep in mind that I’m no expert photographer, nor am I Martha Stewart, but they really do look great in person.
First, I took some plain grapevine wreaths that you can find for as little as $4.00. Then, I purchased a bunch of artificial mini-poinsettias and berries. I had somepine cones in the basement that I had used for a fall decoration.
Cut off the individual branches of the flowers and berries. Simply stick the berry stems into the wreath, and dab a little bit of hot glue to hold it in place. Then, add the poinsettia going the other direction, to hide the berry stems. Add some more glue.
If you’re going to hang the wreaths, glue the pine cones onto the inside of the wreath. You may have to use quite a bit of glue and hold it in place for a few minutes.
These wreaths do not have to be hung. Here are a few ways I’ve used them. I usually change things around every week or so during December.
I also love decorating with fruit and nuts. I found the leaf plate for $4.00 at a home decor clearance sale.
Another great idea is to fill wine glasses 1/2 full with fresh cranberries, then add water, so the cranberries float a little bit. Add a tea light candle in the top.
