I’m Late For My Own Party!

I realized at 11:55 on Saturday night that it was my blogaversary! It was way too late to think of something creative, so I put it off until… TODAY!
Welcome to my belated blogaversary party! I started blogging a year ago on a whim, and subsequently fell completely in love with it! I love reading blogs, writing blogs, designing blogs.. everything blogs! I love reading my first posts; looking back at what was on my mind then, and how far I’ve come. My fist post was I Signed Up For This, and my first attempt to be funny was with I Will Never Do That!
So I thought we could all bring our first posts to my party and share them; sort of like “Show and Tell.” If you’d like to come to the party, go and get your first post… go ahead, I’ll wait…

Wait! There are prizes to be given! I mentioned above that I love designing blogs. This one has gone through three incarnations, and I have created two more blogs, and designed them a couple of times. My blogs are tired of getting facelifts, so it’s time for me to try to branch out and design other people’s blogs!
Thus, Real Life Design is born! My vision is to give regular people like me beautiful designs that they can afford, and make a little of my living doing what I love! Click on over and check out some things I’ve done recently.

Hi Sarah! Your designs are awesome! My blogs have seen so many face-lifts but I can never seem to get them “just right” or I learn and new way of doing something and just have to try it out.

Talk about embarrassing! I had NO idea how to blog or how to use the template or post or anything. I don’t even mention it’s my first post. I just sort of pick up in the middle of things and start blabbing. What a dork!

Wow! How cool that you have started designing blogs! I checked out your work and it is wonderful. Of course I feel really special now since you made my header for me. Thanks so much! Since I have that great header and I finally found a background that fits my blog, I don’t really need a blog makeover right now, but the book sound cool.
I can’t wait to start seeing your work popping up all over the blogosphere.

I am not sure where to add the first thing I posted. Here it is: It was the about me section on my blog followed by a brief entry post.
I am a woman living my dream. I am the wife to an amazing man. Mother to four awesome boys. Looking forward to adding a special little girl to the crew. I am waiting for Mercy… our daughter we are adopting from Guatemala. Join me.
Ok Here I go. My attempt at blogging our journey. I am green if you know what I mean. I am looking forward to sharing the journey!
