It’s My Blogaversary!

It feels like the time I forgot my dad’s birthday; or the time I actually forgot my own birthday until that day, when my husband gave me a card. I feel kind of cheated, because I was going to do a whole hooplah thingy for the blogaversary!
Would you still come if I had a belated blogaversary party next week? Because it’s too late to be creative right now.
Anyway, exactly one year ago this was what was on my mind. And this was my first attempt at being funny!
Come back Tomorrow (tuesday) for my belated blogaversary party! (there will be prizes!)

Sure, we’ll come
Happy Bloggyversary!

I took time to review your first blog. Funny…indeed. Introspective? Beyond words. I, too, have felt the pangs of parenting stress. I’ve been doing it for 19 years! I’m the mother of 4 kids (19, 16, 7, 5), and just this week, I was commenting to my mother that if I never had to go to another Easter Egg hunt…it would be too soon!
However, I have a kindling hope. My oldest son is about to finish his first year in college, and I am continually moved by his capacity for manhood. Never did I imagine him beyond his temper tantrums and dirty diapers. I thought I would never emerge from that season of his neediness. Today, I watched him enter our church in his Sunday best (beard in tow…believe me…I never imagined that), carrying his little sister in his arms.
So when I get overwhelmed with Easter eggs, and spelling lists, and sippy cups…I look at my oldest son and remember that all my answers to my little ones’ neediness will one day emerge into a season of glorious remembrance and abiding joy.
I’m new to your blog, but am so glad that I visited tonight. I’ll be back for the party next week.
peace for the journey~elaine
