Last Minute Prep for BlogHer: What to Print?

I am in FULL Prep Mode for the BlogHer 2010 Conference in New York City this week!

THIS WEEK!

Can you believe it?  Yes, there are tons of blogging/social media conferences, from the huge BlogWorld & South by Southwest, to the more intimate ones like TypeAMom and Relevant (I’m speaking at those two!), and we can’t forget Blissdom. But there’s something about BlogHer that is special for the “mom blogging” niche.  Since it’s mostly women, and there are usually more parties, it’s like a whirlwind of learning, hugging, dancing, promoting, connecting, meeting brands, and more.

Therefore, in my opinion, BlogHer takes more planning thought than any other conference I’ve been to!  On Twitter, Janine and I were discussing just how many handbags and shoes we can pack, and I was talking with Molly about dressing in what makes us feel great! We’re planning which parties to go to and who to meet up with for lunch…

BUT… I thought I’d share about what important documents I will need to print out before we go! No one wants to show up for a party without a printed ticket, only to find they were accidentally left off the list.  Knowing me, I would leave my house Thursday morning without directions to the airport!

The HP TouchSmart Web Printer, which we are test-driving for HP,  prints everything I need and has some great apps to make planning easier!  For Example:

• Google Calendar: I can print my Google Calendar with my personal BlogHer schedule right from the printer’s touchscreen
• Google MAPS: Directions to the airport are a snap with this app!
• Packing Checklist with the Quick Forms App
• Airplane Games!  Molly is going to LOVE playing Tic-Tac-Toe with me on the plane! ;-/
