Me? A Hippie?

Don’t laugh, those who know me in real life. I am entering Slurping Life’s Hippie Photo Contest. I realize the closest I have come to hippie-dom, is dressing up for the 70′s theme party my roommate and I threw in college. But I fit into this one, and it was so much fun!!
This is a photography contest and I want you to break the conventional rules. We are seeking spontaneity, expanded consciousness…shoot from the hip. As in do not look through your viewfinder, do not frame the shot on your LCD screen…instead give new meaning to point and shoot. Ya dig?
Dude, I dug! (That was for you Melody!) As my daughters and I went out out for a trip to the hardware store to price out the banquette I am going to make for the living room, I grabbed my camera! I decided I would point the camera out the window and start shooting! The sun was low in the sky, so I was excited that I might capture some great light play. Here’s the result!
Wow! I just thought about God shining His light from Heaven, saying, “I’m here and I love you!”
When we got to the store, I parked and the sun was shining right in my face. So I put the camera in my lap, closed my eyes, and snapped. When I opened my eyes, I saw a little 6 year-old face next to mine. I hoped I had caught her expression.
What a face! What do you think she’s thinking?
Thanks Melody, for making photography so fun! You always take me “out of the box!” Who knew a trip to the store could be so enlightening?

I kinda like the word verification…but then people say I’m strange…in a good way…
I love the picture of the sunlight coming down thru the clouds, a while back (oct29th) I posted about seeing that early one morning, you got a picture of what I saw– how cool is that?
