Oh, no, Cochitipie, I would never suggest that Working Moms are not doing what is best for their families. This was meant as a comical commentary on the fact that I’m supposedly a Stay-at-Home Mom , but never stay at home!

Anyway, My salary as a teacher would barely cover day care, so it doesn’t make sense for me to work outside the home. I do actually own a company and work from home.

And you mean that if I work I am not raising my kids???? I’m from Puerto Rico where most women work because we have to. Are you telling me that as a society in PR moms don’t raise their kids? Yes, go tell that to every hard working woman there, who loves her family and works to provide for them. I’ve been here for some years now and can tell you that in general families in some other countries are closer than here, more communal, even though moms work. I find it very offensive when someone says that they are stay at home moms because they want to be the ones to raise their kids. My mom worked and I love her, and she did raised me and everything I know I learned from her. You might wonder why I am on this page, well I’ve been looking all over the net for a forum where people talk about the fact that being a working mom is not an issue in all countries. Not sure why is such a big issue here. I have not found a page like that yet…..

I’m a working mom who has huge issues with SAHM who complain their life is boring. It’s wonderful to see mom’s who appreciate the extra time they get with their children and use it constructively.

I am a sahm unless I have to be otherwise. So once a week I make all the rounds I can fit into the day and then only go out when I have to take the kids to dance, boyscouts, soccer, baseball, etc.

I’m definatley a SAHM. It always feels like so much work to take the kids with me everywhere I go. Maybe when the youngest gets a little older that will change. I don’t think my oldest will ever enjoy shopping and running errands but he’s only a few years away from being able to stay at home alone and not have to tag along on those trips. When I feel the walls start to creep in I send the kids outside to play and then it’s all better again.

I also qualify as a DSAHM… I go crazy on days that I/we don’t have somewhere to be!
