North Carolina Blog to Business Connection

I’m finally putting to paper (or screen) an idea that has been on my mind for a long time!  Many people know that I am proud North Carolinian, and a blogger, and a business owner. We have such an amazing state, as well as outstanding bloggers and businesses here, and I want the world to know about it!  More importantly, I think it’s important to connect North Carolinians so we can pull together to survive… and thrive… in this challenging economy.

Introducing… North Carolina Blog to Business Connection

NC Blog Business

For example, I may have a contact opening a new hotel in the mountains, who wants to get the word out to the coastal areas.  I also may know great bloggers on the coast who love travel blogging, and making videos. My dream is to connect the dots for a win/win situation!

Since starting the connection list last night, I have already discovered new NC businesses like Green Acres farm in Cary, NC! I adore agri-tourism, and it’s located in my former home-town!

And despite blogging in NC for several years, I discovered several new blogs, like Adventuroo, based in the Triangle.

For right now, the list will stay private while we build. We may go public with listing participating Company/Blog Names, eventually.  However, I will NEVER share your contact information, email address, or personal information with any third party.  In relationship marketing, trust is the most important thing.

As with most of my ideas, I am jumping in before every detail is fleshed out.  But in my opinion, that’s a good thing!  Why? Because you can help shape the program, too! Each Business and Blogger has unique needs, so I don’t want to slap on a “one-size-fits-all” model.

So what do you think?  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP, and leave a comment on this post if you’d like to share your big ideas!!

Side Note:  There are lots of talented individuals doing this kind of thing nationwide, and even globally. I’m not looking to be them.  They rock their own space, but sometimes, thinking smaller is better, if you know what I mean. What better people to spread the word about fabulous North Carolina than the people who live, work, and BLOG here!

Thanks Brandy!! What projects do you have going on lately? Are you doing more locally, or nationally?

I have nothing going on at moment. I wish there were more locally going on. I am in NH and having hard time finding much of anything around here for events or any projects.

I think this is a great idea (and I’m a fan of Green Acres–the owners are friends and fellow church members). Glad I caught your tweet.

Awesome Anitra! I am really going to try to visit sometime this year, or at least tell my family about it!
