  1. Hi Sarah!

Thanks for keeping it REAL! I love the idea of using a video–much less typing involved. :o) I hope you and your family have a beautiful Christmas season!

  2. Liza's Eyeview says:

You have a beautiful Christmas Tree!

I knew there’s something missing in our Nativity Scene, I didn’t know it was hairspray – ha! ha!

Thanks for making it Real – I feel so relieved 🙂

    Merry Christmas 🙂

  3. I have to laugh at the blue strand of lights. When we put our outdoor lights up. my husband snuck one orange light among all the white ones just to satisfy his need for color. LOL!

Apparently the nativity also had a dumptruck full of goldfish too. LOL

Help make a family very dear to my heart have a memorable Christmas. It only takes a stamp! http://www.three-peas.com/2008/12/operation-christmas-card.html

  4. Great video! If the girls were throwing temper tantrums in the background, it would have been a little more real 😉

  5. Kathleen Marie says:

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely… So very homey and comfy and Christmasy… You should be proud! Hugs!

  6. kristen@nosmallthing says:

Good for you! And yes, I have a laundry/catch-all room, too. It’s a necessity in a home!

Your tree is beautiful! Merry Christmas!

  7. I enjoyed seeing your house and Ava talking to you. My favorite part was the sparkly Christmas trees and how they don’t want them in their rooms! *sigh* Enjoy them being so little because soon enough they won’t even want to help you decorate the tree! I had to do it myself this year, they were all too busy for me!

  8. Your house if FINE!!!! And as for the rest of your Christmas stuff??? Put it away!!! I had a couple of boxes of stuff and they went straight to the basement this afternoon…..got tired of looking at them!!! Merry Christmas!!!

  9. Sarah,
That is hilarious! I thought I was the only mom who didn’t have a “perfect” house. But you know what it is perfect anyways, even if there are piles of dishes and laundry everyone. With 5 people in the hosue, what else could anyone expect.

  10. Hey Sarah! I loved your video, you crack me up and make me feel normal. Really, one day our homes will be clean and we’ll miss this mess. And how do you avoid toys in your tree? My little one is almost 2 and thinks our tree looks like we just stuck a bunch of junk in it so he keeps putting things in it to help in the “decorating”

  11. Donna @ Way More Homemade says:

Ahhh. very nice. I LOVE putting your voice & face together. And it's really not so bad there… my house is MUCHO worse.

    I saw the 2 sippy cups. 🙂

  12. Lisa @ Stop and Smell the Chocolates says:

Wonderful! I love your tree! Thank you for the real life tour – makes me feel a little better.

I honestly thought about taking pics of my undecorated tree, boxes of decorations and stack of unfinished Christmas cards and posting it, but didn’t!

  13. Janel@Dandelion Dayz says:

I think you are a rockstar for posting the real deal, girl!

I do color on the back porch just to make the rest of the family happy!

  14. Thanks Sarah for keeping it real. Nice to know that other moms out there have the same sort of stuff going on that I do at Christmas!
P.S. Your house just looks “lived in”–it’s not a mess:)
