Restoration

This post can be read alone, or as part of the Restoration Series.

Lately, I have been doing a little bit too much bloggy business and not enough writing from my heart. So I have a series brewing about God’s redemption and restoration, and how He demonstrates it through my life.

I have been thinking lately about God’s goodness in my life. Everything in my life has been to demonstrate His redemption and restoration, thus bringing glory to Himself. When I began this blog, I looked for a Bible verse that summed up my relationship with God; a “life-verse”, if you will. I was reminded of Psalm 40:1-3:

1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

This verse is truly the “story of my life.” In coming posts, I’ll share a little bit more about myself personally than I have before, and I hope you’ll be blessed by God’s faithfulness!

I’m curious to see if my readers have thought of a “life verse.” If so, do tell!! If not, why not look around the Word and see what you find?

    I don’t know why, but this post just about had me in tears. God, is so good, isn’t He?

    Now I have to think about a life verse.

  2. I have not thought of a life verse, but this is definitely something worth pondering. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Jeremiah 29:11
    “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    I love the Lord and He has been faithful to His Word. I can trust His heart, even when I don’t trust His hands.
