I have a confession to make.
Three of the six OCC Shoeboxes we took to church this year… were really from last year. I know! We packed them right before National Collection Week, and then we got sick and stayed home from Church the day they collected them. You say, “But Sarah! You live in Boone, NC- the International Headquarters of OCC! And half your friends work there! You couldn’t drive it over one day?”
Um… no? You know how it is, as a busy mom at the holidays. Sometimes I’m thankful for the time to brush my hair!
I know how it is when you really want to do something, but it just doesn’t come together in time. Fortunately, Samaritans Purse has launched a really cool program so we slacker moms can still bless a child in need and send a gift!
Build a Box is a fun and easy way to bless a needy child overseas by sending a gift box through the Samaritan’s Purse website. You can customize your box, or simply donate the cost and they will pack and send a box in your name. You can even add a photo and a note with your box! For just $35, you can put together the box and send it online.
So don’t worry if you missed National Collection Week, pop on over to www.samaritanspurse.com/occ and Build A Box!
