Word(less) Wednesday: Wade in the Water

23 For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan just what he had done to the Red Sea [a] when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. 24 He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.” Joshua 4:22-24
What is your Jordan River? What is it that only God could bring you through? “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) And that reminds me of an old post I love: Stones of Remembrance
I’d like to start a new thing with Wordless Wednesday here on my blog. I find that lots of times, photos remind me of scriptures, and can add a depth of meaning to scriptures I love. So if this photo brings to mind a passage, or verse of the bible, let me know in the comments!

That is very beautiful. I think pictures of landscapes and scenery often make me think of the Lord as well. I look forward to more photos and scripture from you.

So I wanna pretend it DID bring a scripture to mind, but reading yours kinda stopped my imagination

Robin, I thought about leaving mine out and leaving it in a comment! Maybe I’ll do that next time.

I did think of “You lead me beside still waters” at first, because you wouldn’t step into a rushing river, only still, calm waters.
Great idea, Sarah!

Oh, I know that was in the back of my mind, but I couldn’t bring it out! Thanks HEather!

Great idea! I didn’t have a specific scripture come to mind, but I thought of Jesus walking on water and also the footprints poem

I agree with Heather, Psalm 23 came to mind, and the gospel song “Wade in the Water” (ok, so your title helped with that).
Great idea for a WW by the way.
