I really relate to your post. Our daughter was quite sick when she was two and at four, is now able to have these moments you share, and it's amazing. It's also amazing because through this post and previous ones, God's message to you often mirrors what He's saying to me. The rest theme has been huge for me this fall, so I really loved that, and the Mary Martha example. Well done, as always!

Good stuff! My oldest is 2 and a half and she is such a delight. But sometimes I need to be reminded of what a delight she is amongst her less than obviously delightful behaviours. ;)

Great post! I can also see why the last child gets spoiled. Some things are jsut so cute when he does them, even when they are naughty. LOL! And when you are an experienced mom and YOU KNOW that they grow up too quickly, you want to hold on a little bit tighter and longer.

She's an AMAZING artist : ) I love her technique and her "atchiss" is just priceless!

You're such a good mom and I love the spiritual perspective you put on things. I am understanding so much more about my relationship with God through watching and learning from my children!

I like your last point. I had never thought about why God just doesn't come down from the heavens and revealed himself. But you're absolutely right.

I just love reading the perspective of other Christian bloggers. Who would have thought my faith would grow and that I would be challenged to think deeper while I'm surfing the 'net? Does this mean I'm not wasting my time on the computer? :)

I wish our kids could play; sounds like they'd have fun (and keep each other entertained)!

Now that I've finally slowed down and am not so preoccupied with other stuff (finished a big project last week), I appreciate my son (and my life) so much more!

And I totally agree with your assessment of self-esteem. I try to make a conscious effort to use "self-worth" instead. I think that true self-worth definitely begins with understanding that we're our Father's children!

Thanks so much for participating, even if you are late ;) ; I'll add you to the list later today!
