You Pick: Top Christmas Movies of All Time

The other day, Nicole Wick posted a question on her blog: “What is Your Favorite Christmas Movie?” ( I love Nicole, BTW, if you don’t know her, you need to!)

Well, there were the standard answers of serious, comedic, and old-time movies, all of which I love! But here was my comment:

OK, so clearly, I’m the one with the inappropriate sense of humor… but I love “A Christmas Story.” Mainly because I grew up in upstate NY until I was 9 (the SNOW!), and the dad reminds me of my grandfather. Rough around the edges, but deeply caring in the long run. And it’s funny! I love it when Ralphie’s brother snorts like a pig in the mashed potatoes.

Hey, you asked!!

(PS… another favorite is Holiday Inn. I adore Bing Crosby!

And… I’ve been wanting to try out MckLinky’s answer list widget for a while. Brent Riggs just keeps getting more brilliant each day.

So I’ve decided to ask you all to contribute to the Top 10 Best Christmas Movies of all Time!

Enter your idea below, and we’ll rank them afterward! I’ll post the final rankings on Christmas Eve!

  5. Well, I have to say that “Polar Express” is a favorite in our house. I don’t know how many times my three year old has watched it in the last few weeks…a lot! It is so much better than his old favorite “Shrek the Halls”!
